One reason why I love Statesboro:

Local restaurants. I love them. Especially in the small time I like to call home, Statesboro. On our way back from Charlotte, Moriah and I met up with our friend Jake and ate at " Thee Bar-B-W Place." Of course it was delicious, and we were treated with the up most southern hospitality.
I feel every restaurant should close "when the meat runs out."
So delicious, and I recommended it to everyone.

Visit to Charlotte!

After Brittany's wedding this past weekend, Moriah and I decided we were going to make the 4 hour drive to Charlotte the night and then spend the week at her house. I love visiting the Bellissimo house hold because it is always filled with good food and good fun.
Fueling up on some Dunkin for our late night drive

We cooked something delicious every night for dinner, but unfortunately I kept forgetting to take pictures until after the food was gone.

We made these delicious cheeseburgers on the grill with Dales Sauce (thanks Chris) with sweet potato fries and corn on the cob!

Chicken Salad for lunch, yum!
Movie night with Chewy, and Kettle Corn!

So we decided we were going to learn the Dougie one afternoon..
We totally worked up a sweat. And yes, Moriah is doing the "wheel chair."

And the dance party proceeded to the car.

One day this week we went to the Yadkin River and went cliff diving jumped off cliffs. What turned to be right down the street was an hour + trip. It's the first time I have ever gone, and I was so scared. I jumped about 5 times, and screamed like a little girl every time. But it was a lot of fun!

Moriah and I went with her best friend Ashley, and her friend Jordan.

We weren't trying to go for the Nike-Sponsor-look but..
This cliff may have only been about 25 feet up, but it felt like the edge of the world to me

Not the smartest thing I had ever seen, but if they were going to do it, I had to take a picture.

Such a beautiful sunset to end such a fun day!

Mr. & Mrs. Brannen!

This Saturday, Moriah and I's dear friends Brittany and Speer got married. They are both from surrounding cities in Statesboro, so I knew it was going to be a cute, country wedding- which I love. They got married in a barn about 20 minutes from school and it was so beautiful! Moriah and I were greeters and loved being apart of their special day!

Congratulations Brittany and Speer Brannen!

Billy is 11, hence the picture be pointed up

Brittany looked so beautiful.

So,so happy.

It wasn't too hot and the gnats weren't too bad.
As greeters, we think about 350 people came.
Brittanys dad is a bee farmer and gave out honey as a gift. So sweet :)
Grooms cake (so fitting) and so good! (chocolate)

First Dance! Brittanys dressed detached so she could be cool at the reception. Love it.

Our assistant coach, Crystal, was a bridesmaid in the wedding. Love the cow boy boots!
 Congratulations Brittany! We love you!

May Babies

For the O'Connor family, May is a busy time with celebrating birthdays. My dad, brother and I all have birthdays within 4 days of each other. So we usually just have one big celebration. Moriah stopped in Atlanta on her way home from Kansas so she celebrated with us at the Cheesecake Factory!
She's basically part of the family now.

The lovely grandparents.

Ryan took an awkward close up of us, but Allie is just too cute not to share!

Dad is 50! ( and got the boringest cheesecake ever- original)

I spent my birthday in Statesboro, and loved it. Moriah took me to our local coffee shop, The Daily Grind, where we had breakfast and a bible study. We spent the afternoon at the pool and then got ready and headed to Brittany's wedding. It was a lovely day, I can not believe I am 22!

DC Cupcakes!

So on our way back to Statesboro this summer ( to head to Brittany's wedding- blog will be posted soon) Moriah and I decided to make a pit-stop to our friend Jacobs house who lives in McDonough, Georgia. What was so special about this visit, was that Jacob had flown out the day before to Washington D.C. to get cupcakes for his sister, Abby, birthday. Such a good brother. If you watch TLC, he got these cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake which is from the show DC Cupcakes! Although I am not a huge fan of Sophie and Katherine, I was dying to try their famous cupcakes.
The superstar who took a day flight to DC to pick up these delicious cupcakes:

My camera doesn't capture the beauty of the cupcakes, but they were delicious.
Thanks for sharing Jacob and Abby!

Graduation 2011!

Graduation: come and gone so fast. I had such a good day, and I am not even sure it really has sunk all in. My family came to town Friday evening and we went to Chili's for dinner. Our plan was to go to the baseball game afterwards, but a huge storm rolled through. So my mom, dad, and brother,Cameron, went to Manny's for a drink and to watch the Braves game. Afterwards, Cameron and I hung out with some of my friends at a bon fire. We didn't stay out too late because 8am rolled around quick!
Dan Cathy, president of Chick-Fil-A was our commencement speaker. He is a Georgia Southern Alum and had such a good speech. He said the 2 things you need in order to be successful are 1. your cell phone in order to stay connected (he preceded to give out his cell phone number) and 2. the bible and trust in God (Proverbs 3:5-6).I loved to hear such a successful business man with a heart for Jesus. He told us when our diplomas come in the mail, we will be getting a coupon for a free chicken sandwich. His only request was " when you redeem our free sandwich, bring someone who is paying full price."

Freedom is our schools mascot. He is a rescued bald eagle that flies across all the graduates on graduation. This was by far my favorite part of the ceremony.

Graduates!

Grandma and I

After graduation, we picked up a quick lunch at Zaxby's and then went to look at my new apartment for next year. I am so excited about living there next year and my family all like it a lot. We headed to Savannah for dinner at Paula Deens restaurant called Lady and Sons. It was my second time being there and it was so so good. I may still be full from it. This weekend was full of fun, friends, family and faith and I hate saying see ya later to people. Luckily, I will still in be in Statesboro for the next few years. My heart is not ready what so ever to say good bye to this town or the people here. I have had such a great 4 years, I am so sad they have come to an end, but looking forward to the next to come!
